Privacy policy

the short version.

I'm keeping this simple, because it is.

What I collect

If you fill in a form on this site, contact, freelancer sign-up or anything similar, I collect what you give me: your name, email, and whatever else the form asks for, like a portfolio link, location or rates. If you email me directly, I keep the email.

The site may also collect standard analytics, pages visited, rough location, device type, through cookies. That data is aggregated and doesn't identify you personally.

Client project pages

If we work together, you get a private project page with a message thread where we talk and share files. What you write and upload there is stored with my website platform, Netlify, whose servers may be outside Australia, including the United States. Your page isn't listed anywhere and search engines are told to ignore it. The link is the only way in, so treat it like a key.

I keep the thread for the life of the project and delete it when you ask. Please don't put passwords or payment details in there. If I need access to something, I'll ask for it a safer way.

Why I collect it

To reply to you, to work together, or, for freelancers, to keep your details on my collaboration list so I can contact you when a suitable project comes up. That's it. I don't sell data, rent lists or send marketing you didn't ask for.

Where it lives

Your details are stored in the tools I run my practice on, my website platform, email, and my project management system. Some of these platforms store data on servers outside Australia. I choose reputable providers with proper security standards, and I keep what I collect to a minimum, because the less I hold, the less there is to worry about.

Who sees it

Me. Your details are never sold or passed to third parties for their own use. If a project means introducing you to a client, I'll ask you first.

How long I keep it

Until it's no longer needed, or until you ask me to remove it. Email livsullivan.87@gmail.com any time and I'll delete your details and confirm when it's done.

Your rights

You can ask what I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Just email. If you have a concern I haven't resolved, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.

Changes

If this policy changes, the update appears here with a new date.

A note on AI

I use AI tools in my practice the way they were intended: as support. They help with drafts, research and grunt work. They never replace the creative process, the thinking, or the years of human experience behind the work, and they never dictate an end result or drive a decision. That's mine.

And to be completely clear: AI never makes decisions about you or your information. A person does.
